Baby Shower!

   I have some really great, thoughtful friends who threw me a kick-butt baby shower last Saturday! We played some really fun games like the "Nursery Rhyme Game", a word game with Henry's name, and a "Baby" song game. There were even legit prizes like free Cocoa Bean cupcakes, a $10 gift card to Jamba Juice, and a free 30-minute massage!

My friend Amy made this blanket for Baby Henry! It was her first one and I think it's a complete success!

I tried to get all of this stuff to go back in the basket the way Jenny had arranged it, but it seemed virtually impossible so I gave up.

Not a great picture, but this is the only one I have that shows Jeff and Jordan being at the shower. 

   Alright, so Jeff and Jordan are at the shower because Jordan flew in from D.C. to surprise Megan for their anniversary. Jordan got an internship in D.C. 5 weeks ago, but Megan couldn't go out and be with him until today because she teaches 7th and 8th grade science and her school year just barely ended. So Megan has been hanging out with us most nights-missing her husband and waiting for the day that she could go out and be with him again. So last Friday night Jordan texts Jeff and asks him to go pick him up at the airport so he can surprise Megan. We were in like Flynn! We enlisted Mary's help to get me to my Hypnobirthing class on time and then to my shower on time so Jeff could have the car to go and get Jordan. So once the shower was winding down Jeff brought Jordan to the little parking lot next to Jenny and Kyle's duplex and I sent Megan out to the car to get "something" I needed. Fortunately she didn't ask any questions because I couldn't think of anything I actually needed, besides getting her out there, but as soon as she left everyone looked at me like I was a crazy person. So as soon as the door was closed I got to tell everyone that Jordan was outside in the parking lot ready to surprise Megan! At least 5 people got up and ran over to the window to try and see the cute reunion in the parking lot, but you couldn't see it from the window, so they all had to go and sit back down. When Megan and Jordan eventually came in the house everyone clapped and was super happy for them. That's also when Jeff Beatty came in and sat next to me. It was so great to have that awesome surprise happen during the shower! It really added a lot to the whole experience. :)
  
 
  I think that's pretty much it! Thank you so much to everyone who came to the shower and for being so generous with our little family! We're always telling each other how lucky we are to have such great friends.
