Layne's Graduation/Megan's Farewell Bonfire

This week my youngest brother (and youngest sibling) graduated from high school! For some weird reason, the graduation ceremony was scheduled at 3pm on a Wednesday, so we had to get up to Logan Tuesday night so Jeff could work on Wednesday before graduation started. When I graduated from Logan High, they did the ceremony on a Friday night-which makes so much more sense to me, but I guess things have changed in...9 years. Whoa. 9 years. Anyway, graduation wasn't too long but since it's hard for me to sit in hard chairs for longer periods of time, it still felt pretty long. It was a beautiful day, though, and it was good to see my family and support Layners.

Dad and Layne, sunglasses buddies.

Dad, Layne, and Mom.

Jeff, Layne and Me! Jeff and I were unintentionally matching....again.

Layne and Grandma. She's not so photogenic in this picture.
The way that Logan High set this up was for everyone to take all of their pictures with their graduate beforehand so that immediately after the ceremony they could take all of the robes back. So here are some shots of Layne singing in the choir, walking across the stage, and sitting back down with the choir:

Cute little Layners. He's graduated, was ordained an Elder last Sunday, and has his mission papers all ready to submit in 2 weeks! My Mom has been upset for a while that her baby is all grown up, but made it through graduation with little to no crying (she got to sit on the stage and hand Layne his diploma because she's on the State School Board, so I couldn't watch her as closely to see if she was crying or not).
After graduation we went to my family's favorite restaurant, El Toro Viejo, for a celebratory meal. Well, it's almost everyone's favorite. My sister informed me while we were eating that she doesn't really like El Toro, which came as quite a shock to me since it's absolutely delicious and I crave it all the time. I got some delicious chicken enchiladas and Layne shared a bite of his insane carne asada with me (like he always does because he's a good brother), and for some reason Jeff got sweet mole. Gross. I had it once and decided that it tasted like "the feces of hatred", so I wasn't about to try that again. Anyway, here are some pictures:

Me and my cute sister Karren. Her dress was so beautiful!
We had to leave right after dinner so we could get back to Provo in time to have a goodbye bonfire for Megan, but it was great that we could spend as much time in Logan as we did.

I brought the camera outside so we could take some pictures of the bonfire, but I was too tired to take any pictures until we got back inside, and by that time the Hancocks had left so it was just Megan, us and the Reschkes, but here's what I got:

Jeff is sad that Megan had to leave us.

Megan-I miss you already!
While we were really happy for Megan to be rejoining her sweet husband after 5 weeks, we were said that she wouldn't be around to hang out with us anymore. It's a good thing she and Jordan are coming back in August, along with the Birds, because I don't think I could say goodbye to them just yet. :( I already miss the Birds (who are coming back), and at the end of July we'll have to say goodbye for real to the Reschkes (who won't be coming back)! I just need my friends just need to stay put, okay?

That's all for now, thanks for reading!
