It's 2:17 am. I'm awake right now because even though I've eaten quite a bit today, little Henry is still hungry. He's a smart little guy too, because whenever I get hungry (and he's hungry too), he punches and kicks me until I eat something. It's cool that he knows how to get what he needs, but I would really like to be able to sleep without having to wake up and eat all the time.
I try to look at the usefulness of all of this-I'm going to be awake feeding him at all hours of the night once he's born, so why not practice now? But it's easier to see it that way when it's not 2am and I'm not exhausted and fighting against the cold that Jeff tried to give me. Right now I just think that I'm going to have to do this whole thing in a few months, so why not sleep now? I end up getting out of bed just about every time and at least eating some bread. I ate some cereal tonight, but since I didn't feel like it was enough, I'm waiting until something else sounds good. I mean, besides sleep. That sounds great.
Maybe you could just get an IV or a feeding tube. Then you can sleep while you "eat".
