Spring Break!

So as many of you know I'm not currently in school, but three of my close girlfriends are teachers, and this week was their spring break. This was extra exciting for me because it allowed me to have daytime interactions and outings with friends that I normally see exclusively on evenings and weekends.

So on Monday, we went out to Einstein's in Provo-which used to be just down the street but moved to the corner of University Ave and Bulldog. The new building is really nice, but I do miss it being closer.

Tuesday we went shopping for some new clothes, since I've been needing them. I've been able to get by pretty well until now with my normal t-shirts (or the ones I got at a friend's clothing exchange) and two pairs of maternity jeans, but since I'm outgrowing some of the shirts and the warmer weather will necessitate something to wear aside from jeans, we set aside some money for me to get new maternity clothes. I bought myself 3 maxi dresses (bringing my grand total to 4), two new half-tees, and two pairs of capris. I'm really glad that maxi dresses are in right now because they're the most comfortable thing to wear, nearly everyone is selling them, and they're not too expensive. In case any of you are interested, these are the dresses I bought, including the one I wore for my 27 week picture:

It's a bit easier to see the change in my hair in this picture.

I'm not usually a fan of paisley, but I really like the way this dress looks.
We also had the good fortune of seeing our good friends Celia and Nathan on Tuesday. They were in town to buy a minivan and set off on a cross-country journey to visit Celia's family in South Carolina. We've missed them SO MUCH, and were so excited to finally meet their beautiful twin boys and see their sweet little two-year-old again. They moved out to Washington in July to be closer to family, and this is the first time we've been able to see them since. It was kind of a bummer (for us, not for Nathan and Celia) that the children were all sleeping in the van, but that didn't stop me from taking pictures of them.
Precious little Ezra

Adorable Elliot (forgive the blurriness-he was in the back seat and this was the best picture I could snag)

And beautiful Eliza
Somehow it didn't occur to me until this very second that I should've taken a picture of Nathan and Celia. Oh, Kimberly. They're some of my favorite people in the whole world, but I guess I just spaced it. Welp, nothing I can do about it now. I'm sure I'll see them again someday, and I'll remember to get pictures then.

On Wednesday I went on an adventure to Salt Lake with my good friend Amy. First, we hit up the Living Planet Aquarium, which was really cool.

It was crazy how much closer these Cayman Crocodiles looked underwater. They were actually much further than they looked.

Doesn't he look so sinister?

This little guy is adorable and super poisonous.

Can you see the white penguin poop? Gross!

I love penguins. So much. :)

This is a green tree python. This is a common pose for the little guy.

This is a glow-in-the-dark scorpion. Cool, eh?

Gecko!

It was so hard to get a good shot of the sea turtle, since he was constantly in motion.

Stingrays in the touching pool.

A clown fish in an anemone (Finding Nemo, anyone?).

You'd think this would be a zebra fish, but it's actually a lion fish!

Amy touching the stingrays. Her sleeve was so wet the rest of the afternoon!

Red octopus!

The river otters were super personable and freakin' adorable!

Hamming it up for the crowds.
This weird dome thing gives you a cool glimpse into the river otter enclosure.
There's also this super cool fish wall:

After the aquarium we went up to the new City Creek Center, which rocked my face off! The H&M there is insane! I bought myself two new tops and some cute earrings for a friend who just graduated with her Master's degree in social work from BYU. After visiting a few shops we went to lunch at Kneader's. Yes, friends, City Creek has a Kneader's!
Here are a couple of (not so great) pictures from City Creek:

My friend Amy is adorable-but in these pictures I don't look as adorable. Bummer.
I highly recommend checking out City Creek to anyone who likes....being alive. No, for anyone who appreciates beauty and shopping and...creeks.

I was also able to go and see the movie "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen", which I liked quite a bit. If you haven't heard of it, you should check out the trailer:

I would recommend this movie to just about anyone. It's pretty clean-there's one F-word, 3 seconds of a couple...being intimate, but that's all I can think of. It was overall uplifting too, which I liked quite a bit. I'm noticing that the only types of movies that I like lately are uplifting ones. I think that this is because movies affect me emotionally anyway, but being pregnant, the effect is magnified. If I see a movie that upsets me, it stays with me and ruins my mood for at least the rest of the day/night and sometimes even longer. This makes me keep an even sharper eye out for uplifting movies, but also limits me in what I want to go out and see. So I was glad that this movie was overall uplifting, with characters that I was rooting for and interested in. Ya'll may like it :)

The other stuff that we've been up to this week needs its own post, which I plan to get up ASAP. Basically though, Jeff is amazing. I'll show you why very soon.

That's all for now, kids! Thanks again for reading!
